New Art for December: Drawings by Tony Dowler

This month we have some awesome drawings up by one of our regular customers: Tony Dowler. Many are funny juxtapositions, reminiscent of maps of fantastical worlds. Here is Tony's artist statement:

I grew up playing Dungeons & Dragons. In the game I found infinite worlds to explore. Now when I pick up my pen, I find myself returning to those worlds.

The smallest sketches in this collection were created as part of a year-long art project conceived as a tribute to the games of my youth. But as I drew, the pictures evolved into something more. These imagined places spring from games, stories, events in my life, and bits of conversation and ephemera. They are made of everything and contain something for everyone. Explore.
