November Art at Cortona: Pratt Fine Arts Center Student Work

This month at Cortona we are showing a collection of work that students produced through a block printing class at Pratt Fine Arts Center! There are an assortment of smaller, individual works, as well as the class project, a work called "Bubble Tea." This is a great example of some of the arts education that is going on in our area. Adrienne Johanson of Emerge Counseling & Consulting offers counseling and resources for individuals, couples, and families. She specializes in writing techniques, encouraging creativity and thoughtfulness in everyday life and relationships. Adrienne's goal is "to create holistic and enduring change in individuals and family systems." She is a licensed marriage and family therapist and has training in multiple areas.

Alex Martin of Jubilee Event Engineers is ready to help you design and execute your next big event, whatever it may be! Jubilee has designed "events ranging from a wedding in the breathtaking peaks of the North Cascades to an after-work urban chocolate tasting involving fifty different restaurants and caterers. This Weekend At Seattle Center: The Northwest Chocolate Festival

Would you like to taste chocolate from around the world? Do you like watching culinary demonstrations? Want to meet some chocolate makers? Or explore pairings with chocolate? Do you want to go to a party this Saturday night?

If you answered yes to one or more of the above, you should check out The Northwest Chocolate Festival this weekend at the Northwest Rooms at Seattle Center!

"We bring a playful spirit, great chocolate, and vibrant people together for a weekend of sharing, educating, tasting, and celebrating the flavors of chocolate grown from around the world. Our goal is to offer focused and unique opportunities to learn about the subtle flavors of great chocolate with the knowledge and guidance of experts in the field."

At the Chocolate Festival, you will find an amazing array of different chocolates and chocolate makers, including fair trade and bean-to-bar makers! In addition to chocolate, if you're 21+ you can taste beer, wine, and chocolate martinis! And you can learn all about the great wide world of chocolate!

You can buy tickets in advance for a $12.50 day-pass, or at the door for $15. Kids are only $5! Check it out and bring your appetite for chocolate!
